Terms of Purchase

Last updated: October 29, 2026

These terms apply when you buy Family Philanthropy Simplified (the "Program") from Putnam Consulting Group, Inc. ("we", "us"). By completing checkout you agree to them.

What you get

Your purchase gives you personal, non-transferable access to the Program as described on the enrollment page at the time you buy. That includes the online course, its downloadable materials, the Family Philanthropy Forum online community, live Q&A sessions with Kris Putnam-Walkerly, and any bonuses listed. Access lasts as long as the Program is offered, unless the enrollment page states otherwise.

Payment and payment plans

  • Prices are in US dollars and are charged when you enroll.
  • If you choose a payment plan, you authorize us to charge your card each month until all payments are made. A payment plan is an agreement to pay the full price in installments, not a subscription you can cancel early. If you stop paying, the remaining payments are still owed.
  • If a scheduled payment fails, we will retry your card and email you reminders so you can update it. If the payment is still not made 14 days after it was due, your access may be paused until your account is up to date. Your course progress is kept and returns when access resumes.

Refunds

Because you get immediate access to every video, workbook, template and download, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds.

We will make it right if something goes wrong on our side. If you were charged twice by mistake, or have a technical problem that stops you from accessing the Program and that we can't fix, email us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund the affected charge.

Your use of the materials

All videos, workbooks, templates and other materials are owned by Putnam Consulting Group, Inc. You may:

  • Use them for yourself and your own family, including sharing workbooks and templates with family members, your family foundation's board, and the professionals who support your family's philanthropy, such as your attorney, tax advisor or wealth advisor.
  • Quote short excerpts, as long as you credit "Family Philanthropy Simplified" and link to familyphilanthropysimplified.com.

Please don't share your login, or resell, republish or distribute the materials beyond your own family without our written permission.

For advisors and other professionals. One purchase covers one family. If you buy the Program to use with a client family, you may share the materials with that one family only. If you buy it for your own professional development, you're welcome to use what you learn to help your clients, but please don't share the videos, workbooks or other materials with them. Each additional client family needs its own purchase.

Community guidelines

The Family Philanthropy Forum is a place for families to learn from each other with generosity and respect. We understand that members care about many different causes, and that some hold deeply felt and opposing views, for example on reproductive rights, religion or politics. Every member's giving choices are their own. In the Forum, we ask you to:

  • Share your experience and ask questions with curiosity, not judgment.
  • Discuss how to give well, not whether another member's causes are worthy.
  • Keep what other members share in the Forum confidential.
  • Never post discriminatory, racist, sexist, hateful, harassing or bullying content.
  • Not ask other members to donate to an organization or cause. You're very welcome to share the organizations you support and why they matter to you.
  • Not sell or promote your services in posts or messages without our permission. Advisors may mention their firm in their profile.

We may edit or remove any post, and may suspend or permanently remove a member from the Forum, at our discretion and without refund, if these guidelines are not respected.

Using a different name. You may use a first name, initials or a pseudonym, and any photo you like, on your Forum profile. The name you buy with stays private and is not shown to other members.

Raising a concern. Kris moderates the Forum. If you see something that concerns you, email [email protected].

No legal, tax or financial advice

The Program is educational. Kris Putnam-Walkerly and Putnam Consulting Group, Inc. do not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment or financial advice, and nothing in the Program, the Forum or live Q&A sessions is such advice. The course explains options such as private foundations, donor-advised funds and trusts, with their pros and cons, but it cannot tell you which is right for you. For example, we cannot advise on tax-reduction strategies for your giving, or on how a trust, foundation or donor-advised fund should be set up for your situation. Please consult your own attorney, tax advisor or wealth advisor before acting. Results depend on your own situation and effort and are not guaranteed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the Program is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may update the Program's content and these terms. Changes do not affect purchases already made, except where required by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
